Meshed and Microsoft Single Sign-On Integration

Feature Overview:

The integration of Meshed Student Management System with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) enables Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing users (students and staff) to securely access the Meshed platform using their Microsoft 365 credentials and vice versa. This integration simplifies user authentication, enhances security through centralized identity management, and reduces login friction across systems.

Note: Single Sign-On can be assigned exclusively to users assigned with Staff and Student roles only.

 

Features available:

  1. Automated and Manual Mapping of Students and Staff: Efficiently link user records between Meshed and Azure AD with support for both automated and manual mapping processes.

  1. Microsoft Account Provisioning within Meshed: Seamlessly create Microsoft accounts directly from Meshed.

  1. Real-Time User Synchronization: Option to automatically sync user data between Meshed and Microsoft Azure to ensure consistency and reduce administrative overhead.

  1. Single Sign-On (SSO) from Microsoft Azure to Meshed: Users authenticated via Azure AD can access Meshed without re-entering credentials, provided they are assigned to the Meshed Enterprise Application.

These enhancements are designed to improve security, reduce friction in user access, and support scalable identity management across educational and enterprise environments.

 

Teacher Portal > Student Mini Profile

Overview: In the teacher/trainer portal, under the menu, “Student Mini Profile” users will now be able to select Assessment Group Class and view the Students’ assigned to that Assessment Group/Batch. Similar to Classes with Timetable, the teacher will be able to view Student list enrolled to the Subject’s Assessment group and view their Attendance, Results and Communication Log.

In the Teacher/Trainer Portal, under the "Student Mini Profile" menu, users can now also select Assessment Group Class to view students assigned to that specific Assessment Group/Batch (batch without class).

This enhancement mirrors the functionality available for Classes with Timetables, allowing teachers to:

  • View the list of students enrolled in the subject’s assessment group.

  • Access individual student Attendance Records.

  • Review Assessment Results.

  • Monitor the Communication Log for each student.

Before this enhancement, Teacher/Trainer were only able to view students who were enrolled to batches with classes.
