Main Feature

Enhancement and Improvements Details

Meshed and Microsoft Single Sign-On Integration

We’ve enhanced the Meshed Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with Microsoft by introducing a new optional setup rule: “Enable Auto-Mapping During Login.”

This function can only be set-up a System Administrator. When enabled, this feature attempts to automatically map Meshed and Microsoft user accounts during login—using the Microsoft button on the Meshed homepage or via Enterprise Application (if available) in the users Microsoft 365 platform. Mapping is successful if the first name, last name, and college email (Microsoft username) match between both platforms, the user will be logged in. Mapped accounts will appear in the User Account Mapping page and in the Staff or Student Management sections.

If auto-mapping is not enabled, user mapping can still be done manually or through scheduled auto-mapping.

eCAF Changes

Grid Changes

The following changes are made to the eCAF grid to improve the user experience.

  • A tooltip is added against the citizenship status column for the users to know the different citizen resident codes appearing in the grid.

•Another tooltip is added for Est. Course Cost column to indicate that the data is for reference and is used for VSL enrolments only.

•Provider Trading Name is removed from the grid and Student Status Code column is added in the grid to bring data for existing student status code recorded under the TCSI course information.

•The grid now shows distinct colours for Academic Suitability and Census Date values based on the source of data.

New Field - Census Date Applicable for eCAF Enrolment

A new field is added under TCSI >> TCSI Student Course Information >> eCAF for providers to record census date applicable for student enrolments.

This field is added to allow for scenarios where the student is applying for a loan in the middle of the course enrolment where the earliest census date for the course enrolment or first semester has long passed.

This allows the users to record the census date as required and create an enrolment for the student in eCAF.

eCAF Enrolment Management for Different Citizen Resident Codes

Students with citizen resident codes 1, 2, 3, 8 and P are eligible for applying HELP loans. The system has been enhanced to record citizenship and residency details for these student types using the residency questions that are newly added.

The new questions appear under Student TCSI information page where the data for student citizenship is recorded. Except for citizen resident code 1, 4 and 5, the relevant questions appear for other codes.

The questions appear under the section The information below is required to confirm student’s eligibility for a HELP loan. This applies to FEE-HELP, HECS-HELP and VSL.

TCSI Automation Reporting Scheduler

The TCSI (Tertiary Collection of Student Information) Reporting Automation feature is an Optional Solution that designed to streamline and simplify the process of reporting student data to the Department of Education. This feature allows institutions to automatically submit required data to the TCSI platform based on user-defined configurations, reducing manual effort and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

With this automation, users can configure reporting schedules, enabling the system to identify, validate, and transmit data without the need for manual intervention. The automation process ensures that updates and corrections are also reported in a timely and accurate manner, supporting continuous data quality and integrity in maintaining compliance.

The automation configuration is available for Student, Course Admission, and Unit Enrolment Packets in the system for both Posting New Data (HEP, PIR and VSL) and updating any existing data (applicable for HEP and VSL only). It can also deliver a data reporting summary report to user-specified email addresses.

The key features of the TCSI automation feature are as follows:

  • Configuration Flexibility - The TCSI reporting automation feature allows users to easily configure reporting schedules for Student, Course Admission, and Unit Enrolment data packets. Schedules can be defined up to 30 days in advance. Users also can cancel scheduled automation tasks prior to execution.

  • Automation Output and Monitoring - The system efficiently captures the outcomes of each automated reporting run, including both successful submissions and records that encountered errors. Users can configure email notifications to receive detailed results directly in their inbox, enhancing transparency and oversight. Additionally, the results of each automation run are readily accessible through the user interface.

  • Operational Efficiency - By automating the reporting process, the system significantly reduces the time and manual effort required to submit data to the Department of Education. Once a schedule is configured and the automation engine is activated for a given data packet, the system autonomously handles the submission process, ensuring timely and consistent data delivery to the TCSI platform.

The feature is available for all reporting types – HEP, PIR, and VSL.
