Overview


This Optional Module The process to manage this is shown below:integrates with the existing RTOManager Academic Progress functionality to enable the following additional functions:

  • Permission control for Assessment Submissions for Assessment Tasks 
  • Student upload of multiple Assessment Submissions for Assessment Tasks which become available to Staff and Teachers
  • Staff recording of marks or outcomes with uploads for feedback/results for Student Assessment Submissions
  • Teachers with access to the Teacher Portal recording of marks or outcomes with uploads for feedback/results for Student Assessment Submissions
  • Assessment Submission marks or outcomes are available for Students with access to the Student Portal 
  • Staff management of re-submission of Assessment Submissions for Students
  • Permission control to allow Teachers with access to the Teacher Portal to manage re-submission of Assessment Submissions for Students


The uploads of Assessment Submissions and Assessment feedback/results supports all common file types, e.g. pdf, doc, zip, txt, jpg, mp4, etc.   It does not allow exe, bin, dll, cs, for example.  The maximum size of an upload is determined by the license.

The Student Portal Module (Optional) is a pre-requisite for this Module Module. 


Assessment Setup

Enable or disable the upload of Student Assessment Submissions when setting up Assessment Tasks (e.g. assignments, exams, case studies, etc.) for timetabled Classes.

Setup Assessment task

To Enable or disable the upload of Student Assessment Submissions for Assessment Tasks for Subjects:

  • Click Compliance > Academic progress > Setup Assessment task
  • Setting up Assessment Tasks for Subjects remains the same as for existing RTOManager Academic Progress functionality

  • Assessment Submissions additional functionality:
    • Select Yes or No for Allow Student to upload assessment
    • The value will be shown in the Allow Upload column in the list of Assessment Tasks for the Subject



Task Entry

To Enable or disable the upload of Student Assessment Submissions for Assessment Tasks for Subjects for Students enrolled in the timetabled Class.

  • Click Compliance > Academic progress > Task Entry
  • Setting up Assessment Tasks for Subjects for timetabled Classes remains the same as for existing RTOManager Academic Progress functionality

Assessment Submission

Students who have access to the Student Portal can upload Assessment Submissions for enabled Assessment Tasks for their timetabled Classes.

Only Students with a Status of 'Current Student' can upload  can upload Assessment Submissions


Assessment Results

Management of Student Assessment Submissions and outcomes for Assessment Tasks for timetabled Classes

This can be performed by Users who have access to the Compliance menu in the Staff Portal for all Students in timetabled Classes.

This can be performed by Teachers who have access to the Teacher Portal for Students in their timetabled Classes.


Notifications

Online Assessment Submission provides the following email notifications:

  • Teachers are notified via email when a Student uploads an Assessment Submission for their timetabled Classes.
  • College is notified via when a Teacher finalises an Assessment for Students in their timetabled Classes.

The email notifications use the following predefined email templates:

  • AssessmentFile_MarkedByTrainerNotifyAcademicProvider
  • AssessmentFile_SubmittedByStudentNotifyTeacher


Info

Predefined email templates can be edited to suit College requirements. The template name is restricted and cannot be modified, but the content and email subject can be modified. Users need to have the 'SAdmin' role  role to modify a predefined email template.
