Insight: Dashboard

A dashboard is a powerful tool that provides a real-time, at-a-glance overview of key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to an education provider operation. KPIs may include financial metrics as well as operational metrics.

By displaying critical data and metrics in a visual and interactive format, a dashboard enables education providers to quickly understand the health and performance of their organization and make data-driven decisions. Dashboards typically display data in the form of charts, graphs, and other visualizations, making it easy for users to quickly understand and interpret the data.

By tracking dashboard metrics over time and comparing them against targets and benchmarks, it is possible to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and allows for informed decisions about how to allocate resources and optimize performance.

Overall, a dashboard is an essential tool for any organization that wants to stay competitive and achieve its goals. By providing real-time access to critical data and metrics, a dashboard enables informed decisions, optimization of performance, and can assist to drive growth and success for an organization.

Meshed Platform Dashboard

The Meshed Platform Dashboard visually displays relevant information for an education provider from the data within their Meshed Student Management System.

The Dashboard displays visual data for the following:

Fee collected by date range
Student Enrolments and Offers
Nationality of Students
Origin of Students (Domestic, Overseas, Overseas Onshore)
Multiple Student Enrolments
Course Withdrawals
Invoiced fee by nationality
Invoiced fee by date range

The Dashboard visual data can be globally filtered using:

Year
Agent
Course

The Dashboard visual data can be compared using:

Year
Agent

Insight Dashboard

To open the Meshed Platform Dashboard, click the Insight Quick Access Icon on the Home Page.

Dashboard Page Permission

Page Permission can be used to enable or disable the Insight Quick Access Icon on the Home Page for User Roles. The feature is auto-enabled for all SAdmin users. SAdmin users can allow staffs to access Dashboard by following the steps below:

Click on Admin > Setup Permission from the main menu
On the Set User Permission page, click on Set up Permission

From the list of Permission names, select “View Insight: Dashboard”

Select Roles(s) to assign the permission to, and add/update the role permission

The permission will be assigned to the Staff role.

To set up user permission, go to Set User Permission, select the role, and assign the permission to required staff from the staff list by clicking on Update Permission Setup.

The staff will be able to access Dashboard feature in the homepage.

Global Filters

Using the global filters will determine the data displayed for all charts selected to view in the dashboard.

Select the required Global Filter values (see the descriptions below)

Global Filter	Description
Year	All Years (default) – charts display data compared between years. A Year can be selected to display data for the months in the Year.
Agent	All Agents (default) – charts displayed are the combination of data for all Agents. An Agent can be selected to display Agent specific charts.
Course	All Courses (default) – charts displayed combine the data of all courses. A Course can be selected to display Course specific charts.

Charts

Selecting the charts will determine which of the available charts to view in the dashboard.

Select the required Charts (see the descriptions below)

Click View Chart to display the dashboard

Global Filter	Description
Fee collected by date range	Overview of fee amount values (such as tuition fee paid, miscellaneous fee paid, scholarship used, student refunds, agent refunds, student credit, agent credit) collected or recorded for the selected global filters - date range, agent and course.
Enrolments & offers	Overview of total number of Student course enrolments (converted) and Students Offers (not yet converted) for the selected year, agent and course.
Student nationality	Overview of total number of students per nationality whose course start date occurs within the selected year(s) period.
Student origin	Overview of total number of students per origin whose course start date occurs within the selected year(s) period.
Multiple enrolment	Overview of total number of students who are enrolled to multiple courses having specific course status under category ('Current', 'Hold', 'Paid'), or having specific course status under category ('Exit with Achievement' as 'Yes'); and the course start date occurs within the selected year(s) period.
Course withdrawals	Overview of total number of student course withdrawals based on the student course start date occurs within the selected year(s) period.
Total invoice amount by nationality	Overview of the total course tuition fee invoiced amount (deducting the invoice credit) and course miscellaneous fee invoiced (excluding the reversed invoice), where invoices are linked with a course, grouped by student nationality.
Total invoice amount by range	Overview of the total course tuition fee invoiced amount (deducting the invoice credit) and course miscellaneous fee invoiced (excluding the reversed invoice), where invoices are linked with a course invoiced between two dates.

Fee collected by date range

The chart displays the overview of fee amount values (such as tuition fee paid, miscellaneous fee paid, scholarship used, student refunds, agent refunds, student credit, agent credit) collected or recorded for the selected global filters - date range, agent and course.

The data is displayed in reference to the paid date of any invoice.

Here, the global filters will determine the data displayed. Furthermore, Extra filters can also simplify the data displayed into the following group types by range when applied:

View by date: By applying this option for the chart Fee collected by date range chart, data can be viewed into date-wise view of fee collected.

View by month: By applying this extra filter, the chart can be viewed for each month within the selected date range.

View by year: By applying this extra filter, the chart can be viewed for each year within the selected date range.

For all the charts, click on each tile to generate the student related information in grid view:

Enrolments and Offers

The chart displays the overview of the total number of student course enrolments (converted) and student offers (not yet converted) for the selected year, agent and course. Student and offer data are displayed in reference to the course start date.
