Public Domain, User Management, and Course Management

Introduction

A post-training quiz is a set of questions, accompanied by their correct answers, intended for use by participants’ following the completion of a training session within a Meshed training program.  This is an effective tool for allowing participants to self-assess their understanding and knowledge, identify areas for improvement, and reinforce their understanding.

Some of the questions are designed to require critical thinking and the application of knowledge rather than mere recall.  In addition to correct answers, explanations or additional information may be included to enhance participants' understanding.

Instructions

Please attempt each question, and refer to the provided answers (click to open) to check whether your responses were correct or not. This immediate feedback helps you gauge your understanding, provides a review of material you may have misunderstood, or identifies areas where you may need to gain further knowledge or clarification.

Question 1

Question: Where do you set the enrolment fee for a Course?

 Answer:

Navigate to Admin > Configuration and Setup > Enrolment Fee

You can have different Enrolment Fees for different Courses. You can also set up multiple Enrolment Fees for one Course which will then be available to select from during the Application process.

Question 2

Question: Can the same Subject be in the structure of more than one Course?

 Answer:

Yes, the Meshed Platform allows for a Subject to be in the Subject Structure of multiple Courses.

Question: Can Staff change their own Security Question?

 Answer:

Question: How do you get a list of Staff from the Meshed Platform?

 Answer:

A list of Staff can be created and exported from the Staff > View Staff List screen using the Excel Icon. Using the Search By fields to determine which Staff are displayed in the grid will also determine the Staff included in the exported Excel file.

 

Question 5

Question: Can Professional Development activities be recorded for Staff in the Meshed Platform?

 Answer:

Yes Professional Development activities be recorded for Staff in the Staff Profile.

The Professional Development function provides the ability to:

  • Customise values for the Professional Development Category in System Fields Setup

  • Filter Professional Development activity grid for columns; Category, Event Name, Organised By, Activity Name, Event Date

  • Verify Professional Development activity by Admin or DOS User roles.

  • View Professional Development activity in logs - staff_professionaldevelopment_log

  • Excel export option for Professional Development activity

Question: How do you add a Teacher in the Meshed Platform?

 Answer:

There are two ways this can be done - Add New Teacher or adding the Teacher Role for Staff.

Question: Can Professional Development activities be recorded for a Teacher in the Meshed Platform?

 Answer:

Teacher professional development (PD) is an important component in ensuring that educators remain effective, innovative, and responsive to the evolving needs of their students. It encompasses a wide range of activities that help teachers enhance their skills, knowledge, and professional growth.

By maintaining detailed professional development records, teachers and institutions can ensure continuous improvement and better educational outcomes for all stakeholders. In addition, recording of these activities can assist with compliance related to Institutional, Certification, and Licensing requirements for educators.

Professional Development activities can be recorded for a Teacher in the Teacher Profile.

The Professional Development function provides the ability to:

  • Customise values for the Professional Development Category in System Fields Setup

 Answer:

There are two ways this can be done - Teacher management or a pre-defined Report.

Teacher management

A list of Teachers can be created and exported from the Teacher > Manage Teacher screen using the Excel Icon. Using the Search by fields to determine which Teachers are displayed in the grid will also determine the Teachers included in the exported Excel file.

 Pre-defined Report

The predefined report StudentServices : Teacher : Teacher List (payrollid, name, username, email, mobile) produces a report that can be viewed on the screen or exported as an Excel format file.

Question 9

Question: What Student specific options can be used to manage default values for Course related fees (Tuition, Material, Instalments and frequency, etc.) which are payable upfront?

 Answer:

Upfront fee information is setup for a Course and there can be specific information for each of the different Origin of Students (overseas or residential).

Navigate to Course > Course Upfront Fee
