Form Elements
Add Form Element
Form Elements are added to a Form using the drag and drop method.
Edit Form Element
Properties for a Form Element on the Form can be reviewed and modified using the Properties Icon.
The properties are specific for each Form Element type.
Table and Header Form Elements do not have properties that can be edited.
Delete Form Element
A Form Element on the Form can be deleted using the Delete Icon.
A confirmation message will be shown that requires action.
Save
When changes are made to the Form Elements the Form should be saved using the Save button.
Changes that can be made are:
- Add Form Element
- Delete Form Element
- Modify Form Element Properties
Back
The Back button will navigate back to the Form List.
A confirmation message will be shown that requires action.
Form Element Types
There are a number of different Form Elements that can be used when designing or defining a Form.
A Form can have multiples of the same Form Element type.
Each of the Form Elements are described below.
Text
The Text field is a text-box that accepts a single line of text.
The Text field is useful for collecting one-word answers and short phrases.

Width | Set the width of the Form Element as a percentage of the Form width. Options are:
The Custom option displays a field for entry of the custom value. Only one option can be selected. |
Inline Layout | Set the position of the Form Element Title. Options are:

Mandatory | Set the Form Element as mandatory at the time of field creation by selecting the Yes option. Mandatory Form Elements will require a value before the Form can be submitted. |
Default Value | Set a default value that will be used as a preset for the Form Element value. Users can modify the Form Element value, or use the default Form Element value, before the Form is submitted. Default values can make Users more productive by reducing the number of fields needed to be manually entered, and can improve data consistency and reliability. |
Disable Field | Set the Form Element as Disabled or Enabled. A disabled Form Element is unusable and un-clickable on the Form. A disabled Form Element will display any default Form Element value that has been set. |

Paragraph Text
The Paragraph Text field is a large text-box that accepts multiple lines of text.
The Paragraph Text field is useful for collecting lengthy answers and long phrases.

Multiple Choice
Multiple Choice is a closed-ended field type where Users can select only one answer from a list of choices.

Checkboxes
Checkboxes is a closed-ended field type where Users can select any number of answers from a list of choices.

Choose from a list
Choose from list (Drop-down) is a closed-ended field type where Users can select only one answer from a menu of choices.
Choose from list (Drop-down) can be used for presenting a long list of options without cluttering the Form.

File
File field allows Users to attach files to submit with the Form.
File field allows Users to attach files such as photos, documents, etc.
File attachment supports all common file types, e.g. pdf, doc, zip, txt, jpg, mp4, etc.

Number
Number field is a single line text-box that is validated to only accept numerical inputs.
Decimal values and negative values cannot be entered.

Label
Label fields displays text on the Form.
This field type doesn't collect any data, but the text in the Form can be used to provide more context or to break up the Form in to sections.

Table
Tables consist of an ordered arrangement of rows and columns. A table is used to layout other Form Elements on the form in a grid or tabular format.
Tables do not have properties that can be edited after adding to a Form.

Number of Columns | Set the number of columns for the Table Form Element. It is mandatory to enter a value of one (1) or greater. |
Number of Rows | Set the number of rows for the Table Form Element. It is mandatory to enter a value of one (1) or greater. |

A table is used to layout other Form Elements on the form in a grid or tabular format. The Form Elements are added to a Table Form Element using the drag and drop method.
Break
Break fields display white-space on the Form.
This field type doesn't collect any data, but the white-space in the Form can be used to provide more context or to delineate the Form sections.
Header Image
Header Images do not have properties that can be edited after adding to a Form.
Choose File to select the required Header Image.
Send it to Server to save the Header Image to the Meshed Workflow system to make it available for use in other Forms.
Currently there is no option to remove the Header Image.
Date Picker
Date field allows the User to enter a date in the proper date format, or choose a date via a date picker calendar.
Only valid dates are accepted.
