AI in Student Profile Summary

Introduction of AI-Driven Student Summary in Meshed Platform (Beta Version)

An AI-Driven Student Summary feature has been added in the Meshed Platform. This innovative tool provides instant, comprehensive overviews of student academic and financial status, enhancing the support provided to students and administrators alike.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Student Progress Snapshots: The AI analyses current course enrolment data, academic performance metrics, attendance and financial records to generate detailed summaries of student progress.

  • Automatically Generated Action Plans: Based on identified risk factors, the AI creates actionable recommendations to help students improve their academic and financial standing.

  • Feedback System: Users can like or dislike the summaries and provide feedback, which is invaluable for continuously improving the AI's accuracy and relevance.

This beta version aims to streamline the process of monitoring and supporting student success, making it easier to identify and address potential issues promptly.

Compliance > TCSI

The TCSI grid is updated to show the count of records and number of pages for the Student, Course Admission and Unit Enrolment packets. The change is made to improve the user experience and ability to see the total number of records for TCSI reporting. All functionalities of the existing reporting page remain unchanged.

Compliance > TCSI

As the eCAF and TCSI departments worked together to mask the Tax File Number (TFN) for students, the Meshed system is also updated to reflect the change. Going forward, the TFN cannot be reported to TCSI, and we have updated the TCSI Student Packet functions to reflect the same. TFN retrieval option in eCAF enrolment management grid in the system will also not return any TFN values for any VSL students from eCAF. TCSI will now directly receive the TFN data from student eCAFs.

Note - No changes apply to Higher Education TCSI or eCAF Management as the changes are only implemented for VSL providers.

Application/ Offer/ Student

Effective immediately, the system will enforce stricter validation rules for entering OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) dates in the Application, Offer, and Student stages. Previously, users could enter either the OSHC Start Date or OSHC Finish Date independently. Moving forward, if either date is entered, the system will require both dates to be provided.

  • New Validation Rule: If an OSHC Start Date is entered without an OSHC Finish Date, the system will prompt an error message, requiring the user to enter the Finish Date. Similarly, if an OSHC Finish Date is entered without a Start Date, the system will prompt an error message, requiring the user to enter the Start Date.

  • Exception: Users can still request OSHC without specifying both dates.

This update aims to ensure complete and accurate OSHC records, enhancing data integrity and compliance.

Application

Improvement of Online Application Step 3 by adding more informative text to guide users. The added text is as follows:

“Click on 'Add New Course' or 'Add Selected Course' for the course you wish to apply for.

After adding the courses, click 'Go Next' button located either at the top right or bottom of the page to proceed with your application.”

This improvement aims to provide clearer instructions, making the application process smoother and more user-friendly.

Log

The staff log, which tracks and displays changes to staff personal details, has been enhanced with additional columns. The log will now record and display the following details:

  • Role Type

  • Role Priority

  • Associated Campus

These details will be logged at any instant of creating, updating, or deleting a staff record. This enhancement aims to provide more comprehensive tracking of staff information, ensuring greater transparency and accuracy.

Roles and Permissions

A new page permission “Deny Student to delete Emergency/Guardian contact details” has been introduced to enhance the management of student contact information. When this permission is active, students will be restricted from deleting any Emergency or Guardian contact details from the Student Portal. However, they will still be able to add new contacts or update/edit existing ones. This permission can also be configured to be origin-specific.

This update aims to ensure the integrity and availability of critical contact information, enhancing overall safety and communication.
