E-Learning Tools - Online Test (Optional Module)

Overview

Create online tests that Students can access using the Student Portal.

Conduct a pre-enrolment test online for Students before they start a Course. 

 

Manage Online Tests

Management of Online Tests with the following functions:

  • Create

  • Edit

  • Delete

  • Set Active or Inactive

  • Test Instruction attachments

Add Test

To create a new Online Test:

  • Login to the Staff Portal

  • Click Compliance > Manage Online Test > Test Setup

 

 

  • Click Add New Test

 

  • Enter Test Details

  • Click Record Now

  • Click Back to Test List

 

Question Groups

An Online Test can have multiple groups of questions, and each group can have set of questions. Questions will be randomised under each group.

Add Question Group

To add a Question Group to an Online Test:

  • Login to the Staff Portal

  • Click Compliance > Manage Online Test > Question Group

 

 

 

  • Enter Test Details

  • Click Add Group

 

 

 

Questions & Answers

Question can be added under each Question Group.

Add Questions

To add Questions to Question Group:

  • Login to the Staff Portal

  • Click Compliance > Manage Online Test > Test Question

 

 

Import Questions

Questions can be imported to the Platform using the Excel template which can be downloaded, data entered, and Uploaded.

 

 

 

Manage Answers

To add Answers for Questions in a Question Group:

  • Click Answers Icon

 

  • Add New

Link Tests

An Online Test can be linked with the following use options:

Course - An Online test can be associated with a Course and request Students to submit the Online Test

Pre Enrolment – Send requests to new enrolments, with a unique code, to allow submission of the Online Test from the Public Portal.

Subject - An Online Test can be used as an Assessment Task by linking with a Subject.

 

 

Online Test Submission

Pre-enrolment

To send a request to Applicants for a Pre-enrolment Online Test:

  • Login to the Staff Portal

  • Click Offers > Test Request

 

 

  • Search for and select Students

  • Click Send Email

 

 

  • Select Test and Date

  • Click Send Request

 

  • Student can access Pre-enrolment Online Test from the Public portal using Offer Number and Request Code sent in the email

 

 

 

 

Course and Subject

Students can complete the Online Test from the Student Portal

 

 

Results

After an Online Test is submitted by Student, the results can be viewed. Results can be viewed by the Online Test submission date between two dates.

Test Result information can be exported from the Platform in an Excel format using.

 

 

Notifications

Online Test provides the following email notifications:

  • Requesters are notified via email when a Student submits an Online Test.

  • Students are notified via email when a request for an Online Test.

 

The email notifications use the following predefined email templates:

  • Notify_Staff_For_Online_Enrolment_Test_Submission

  • Send_Request_For_Online_Enrolment_Test

 

Predefined email templates can be edited to suit specific requirements. The template name is restricted and cannot be modified, but the content and email subject can be modified. Users need to have the SAdmin role to modify a predefined email template.
